Suppose you text a friend at midnight, asking if you can borrow a frozen pizza to feed someone who has just turned up after a long journey. Suppose he doesn’t answer your text and so you call him and he answers ‘Don’t bother me. We’ve locked the house up for the night and we’re all in bed. I can’t help you.’ That may be the case, but if you keep on ringing him every 5 minutes and if he turns his phone off, go round to his house and knock incessantly on the door he will eventually get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.
The moral of the story is keep pestering and you’ll get what you ask for. Keep searching and you’ll find what you’re looking for. This applies to everyone. Keep knocking on the door until it opens.
Don’t be afraid of what you’ll get from those that love you. If your child asks you for a chocolate you don’t give them chilli peppers do you?
